Joel’s Pro Tree Service of Beavercreek. Root Excavation Experts.
Trees are known to be some of the oldest living things on Earth. But as grand and majestic as they are, they are also surprisingly fragile. Even the smallest mismanagement can damage a tree permanently—especially if homeowners do not understand how they work.
Not many property owners have extensive tree knowledge. And yet the love for trees and nature remains ever essential to ensuring the health of our planet. The good news is that there are professionals who handle such complicated business, so that homeowners can focus on admiring the trees in their care.
Joel’s Pro Tree Service loves trees just as much as any property owner who wants to have trees in their backyard. The company is committed to providing the industry’s highest quality services—and lucky for Beavercreek residents, Joel’s Pro Tree Service has locations all over Ohio.
This tree service provider wants to develop as many healthy trees all over the country as possible. Whether it is through plant health care, pest removal, or cleaning up after a storm, Joel’s Pro Tree Service has Beavercreek homeowners covered.
One of the ways Joel’s Pro Tree Service provides this level of care is by performing a proper root crown excavation. The root crown is the part of the tree that transitions between the root system and the trunk. Also known as the collar, it might just be the single most vulnerable part of a tree.
Many trees in the wild end up dying because their root crown was covered in leaves, dead branches, or just plain debris. It can choke the tree of the air it needs. With the root crown covered for an extended period of time, trees can easily become unstable. Sometimes it just happens because the soil level rose over time.
Regardless of the reason for the problem, Joel’s Pro Tree Services can perform a root crown excavation, so that it will be exposed to the light and air it requires to thrive.

About Beavercreek, Ohio
Although the City of Beavercreek was incorporated on January 11, 1980, its history stretches much further to the early 1800s. Beavercreek Twp. was founded in 1803. The “associate judges of Greene County” met in a log house on the banks of Beaver Creek on May 10, 1803 to set four townships, one of which became Beaver Creek.
David Shumway, a former Wright-Patterson Air Force employee who later wrote Beavercreek’s history in “Birth of a City,” said that becoming a city was like “founding a nation”. Shumway described the process, saying: “There were battles and infighting similar to those at the U.S. Constitutional Convention, and it took about the same amount of time.”
In 1980, Beavercreek City was born. As of 2017, the city has a population size of 46, 948. Current statistics say that 48.58 percent of the population is female while 51. 42 percent is male.

Also from Beavercreek is Taylor Ewert, a high school track and field athlete who is considered a strong contender for a berth on the 2020 US Olympic 20k racewalking team.
Beavercreek also has some famous attractions, including The Philip Harshman House, believed to have been built between 1803 and 1807. It was discovered in 1985 when workers removed wood siding on a home slated for demolition and discovered the original log house, according to the Beavercreek Historical Society. The house stood just south of St. Luke Catholic Church on North Fairfield Road. It was later moved to Wartinger Park, 3080 Kemp Rd.
